Before starting training, remember to minimize all distractions! To begin, simply click using your Clik-R and give your dog a treat. Continue to repeat this process. This will allow them to associate the clicker's sound with good behavior and treats. Guide or lure your dog into a seated position using your treats. As soon as they sit down, use your clicker and instantly provide them with a treat to reinforce the good behavior. As your dog becomes more confident in sitting when provided a treat, begin to say "Sit" before your dog's bottom touches the ground. Once seated, reinforce this behavior with a treat and a click.
