High-quality ovulation is more than just egg release. When it comes to ovulation quality, the release of an egg from the ovary is just the beginning. When hormones are in good balance, the uterine lining thickens after ovulation, creating the best conditions for a fertilized egg to implant. We call this “high-quality ovulation.” Proov PdG tests confirm high-quality ovulation by looking for elevated PdG levels over several days during the critical implantation window. PdG patterns matter. Unlike progesterone blood tests that measure just one moment in time, Proov Confirm tests measure PdG (a marker of progesterone detectible in urine) over multiple days to detect patterns a progesterone blood test could miss. These patterns are the secret to understanding ovulation quality. You can still ovulate with low PdG. Even if your Proov results indicated you’re light on PdG, it’s still possible to ovulate and get pregnant. But there may be steps you can take to increase your chances at success.
