Every Buddha in our Collection takes up to 60 days to create. Solid stone and resin are hand molded to produce a lightweight, but strong figurine. Then, each is hand carved to produce the fine detailing right down to the tiniest nose and daintiest fingernail. There is no powder coating or hot dipping here. Your statue is hand painted by a team of specialist artisans over 2 weeks to ensure each of the 6 layers, stunning colors, and finishing touches are free from smudges and finished to look like a bronze statue. This is the only Buddha you’ve seen today with such intricate detail. And when you look at his tiny fingernails and the detailing on his robe, it’s obvious. He’s also the only Buddha with such a perfect antique red, gold and silver finish. Simply beautiful. The Dhyana Buddha shows both hands resting in its lap. The back of its right hand is leaning on the palm of its left hand. Often the thumbs are touching each other, forming the mystic triangle. This is the meditation mudra, which symbolises wisdom. The Buddha used this gesture during his final meditation under the Bodhi tree when he attained enlightenment. But what came during, and after? Why not complete the story with all 3 pieces featuring Buddha in Abhaya Mudra and Bhumisparsha Mudra (during, and after enlightenment). We’ve also crafted our gift box to be a beautiful as the gift inside. Your buddha is wrapped in soft polyfoam to protect the paintwork and stone crafting during transport, so it will arrive in perfect condition to you, or whomever you choose to gift such a special piece too.
