Description

Bath bombs are the newest bathtime indulgence that promise fizzy, bubbly bathwater with no jacuzzi required, and while you can find them in many specialty stores and boutiques, it’s much more effortless, entertaining, and economical to make them at home. The trick to making great bath bombs is packing those little soapy snowballs as tight as you can, and while using your hands is great if you have the forearms of a titan, our stainless steel bath bomb press is much easier for the rest of us mortals. Just place your ingredients in the press, and with each pull of the lever, you get a jackpot of professional-grade bath bombs every time. Speaking of time, you can press bath bombs all day, every day until the very end of time because the machine’s stainless steel construction is built to withstand the harshest rigors of home or commercial use. Let’s Get Chemical! A little kitchen chemistry and our bath bomb press is all it takes to make bathtime a blast. Two molds are better than one, so we’ve also included 2¼in and 2½in molds to make the size that’s right for you, and assembly is simple and quick enough to get crafting in minutes. Don’t know where to start? Scroll down for our Voter’s Choice recipe and handy links to pick up the basic ingredients you’ll need to make perfectly effervescent bath bombs that are ready to burst with fizzy fun! 2 cups baking soda 1¼ cups citric acid ¼ cup corn starch or other starch powder (for buoyancy) Oils, scents and/or coloring Mix your powdered ingredients in a bowl and whisk them together thoroughly. Add your oil, scents, and coloring to a separate container or small cup with about a ½ ounce of water in it and mix it to spread the coloring evenly. Slowly drizzle your wet ingredients into the powder mix while whisking until the mixture is evenly distributed without clumps. You will want to use a spray bottle with water to mist the bowl and keep the mixture just moist enough to stick together in the mold. Spray it 2-3 times every few minutes and continue whisking to prevent the ingredients from activating. If it starts to foam, the mixture is too wet. Scoop the mixture into the bomb molds and pack it tight. Then, pull the lever firmly to form a bath bomb. Be careful not to deform or break your bath bombs by cranking down too hard. (The press is very durable, but the bath bombs are still just powder.) Repeat until you have your desired number of bath bombs. Nothing gets a job done like stainless steel. There’s a reason no one says, “as tough as aluminum,” or “nerves of plastic,” which is why our specially machined parts are carefully fitted for smooth operation and designed to do as much work for you as possible with minimal effort, so you can keep business booming with bath bombs by the minute. Your satisfaction is our mission! If you're having difficulty with your bath bomb press, just reach out to our support staff for questions, concerns, parts, or problems. We can help! The first ingredient in bath bombs is all about that base, and baking soda is a perfect dry ingredient that won’t react until it gets wet, but when it comes in contact with an acid, that’s when the fizz hits the fan. Baking soda also happens to be good for your skin as well, since it’s a mild abrasive and a natural antigen that fights common skin irritants. The second ingredient in a good bath bomb is dry acid, but we know what you’re thinking: oh noes! It’s acid! Worry not, because citric acid is very mild, and it’s the same stuff that’s in your morning orange juice. It’s also really good for your skin as a natural cleanser and mild exfoliant that also happens to be part of the fizzy reaction you’re looking for.
