Measure up to 6 inches with an accuracy of 0.001”. The caliper has a zero reset button to assure accurate measuring. It also has a convenient button to change the display from inch-fractions, decimal inch or millimeters. The caliper is water and dust resistant rated IP54. The caliper measures in the typical four ways of a Vernier caliper. It measures external, internal, step and depth. The caliper displays measurements in inch-fraction, decimal, and metric. The inch-fraction shows down to 1/64 of an inch which is useful in woodworking and other activities. The battery compartment is located out of the way so it doesn’t pop out during use.
