To change the battery, just turn the caliper over so the LCD Display is facing down and the slider clamp screw is facing toward you (down), with the thumb roller up. Using the provided screwdriver, remove the screw on the same side as the slider clamp screw, using caution not to lose it since it is so small. Once the screw is removed, the battery cover on the opposite side will be loose and the battery will easily come out. Insert new battery with plus (+) side facing up. Replace cover, and while holding it in place, reinsert the screw and tighten. That’s it. Properly dispose of used battery. The owner's manual is included in the case when you receive your caliper.
