That's because it was created by an ergonomic designer, in consultation with a Doctor of Chiropractic, to help restore the natural curve of the neck. Thoughtfully designed for people who primarily sleep on their back and occasionally turn to their sides throughout the night, the head cradle, cervical contour, and upper back support are constructed from firm, molded foam to place the head and neck in a neutral position. NOTE: This is not a soft memory foam pillow. Measuring to find the correct size Therapeutica Sleeping Pillow is critical for proper fit. Before placing your order, carefully measure using the instructions provided below. Sleeping on the incorrect size of this pillow may cause increased neck pain, headaches, shoulder, and upper back pain. The correct size of the Therapeutica Sleeping Pillow DOES NOT correlate to your clothing size. Use your fingertip to feel for the bone on top of the shoulder. Do not measure out to the side of the arm. Measure the length of your shoulder using a ruler. It is most accurate to have someone help you with this process. Compare your measurements to the sizing guide shown in Step 4 to determine the best size pillow for you.
