Description

See more product details The Corning 430421 125mL Erlenmeyer flask is made of impact-resistant United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) Class VI polycarbonate to resist grease, oil, detergent, and most inorganic acids, and it has a polypropylene screw cap with a two-position design so it can be partially opened for gas exchange or closed for a liquid-tight seal to store chemicals and mixtures. The flask and cap can be autoclaved (one cycle only) and withstand temperatures up to 135 degrees C (275 degrees F). Packaged individually, the flask is radiation sterilized with the highest sterility assurance level (SAL) of 1E-6 and certified non-pyrogenic. It is clear for visibility of contents and has molded-in graduations that indicate approximate volume. The flask measures 4.54" high with cap and has a 2.58" base diameter. The cap is 1.51" in diameter. Flasks are glass or plastic containers for storing or collecting chemical samples or solutions in scientific laboratories. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes and are designed for a wide range of scientific processes. Erlenmeyer flasks, introduced by German chemist Emil Erlenmeyer in 1861, are shaped like a cone with a wide, flat base that narrows to a neck opening, which can be closed with a stopper or cap. Corning manufactures consumable glass, ceramics, and plastic laboratory tools for life science research, industrial, and educational applications. The company, founded in 1908, is headquartered in New York, NY, and makes ISO-certified products. What’s in the Box?
