The protective coating slowly releases copper to prevent fouling below the waterline. For best antifouling performance, apply two coats and launch boat within 60 days. Rust-Oleum Boat Bottom Antifouling Paint is a protective coating for surfaces below the waterline. This coating prevents the build-up of barnacles, algae and other marine growth.
