St. John's Wort is grown in Europe and the United States. It is especially abundant in northern California and southern Oregon. The above ground part of the plant is gathered in flowering season and used medicinally. St. John's Wort can be used in connection with Depression, Anxiety, recurrent ear infections, cold sores, minor injuries, ulcerative colitis, vitiligo, and wound healing.
