Laura Gump seized on a passion for the sport of lacrosse by founding two highly successful companies: Swax Lax Lacrosse Camps and Clinics and SWAX LAX. Laura is a longtime youth lacrosse coach who currently coaches at Kent Place School in Summit, New Jersey and at her own company, Swax Lax Lacrosse, which, for more than 12 years, has offered camps and clinics for roughly 1,000 K-6th grade girls and boys every year. It was her experience coaching new players and very young players — as well as accidentally hitting her own 4th grade daughter in the face while teaching her to catch in the backyard — that she came up with the idea for a new product that she turned into another business. Swax Lax lacrosse training balls are the exact same weight and size as a hard rubber lacrosse ball, only a lot softer.
