The classic 40mm Alsta Nautoscaph IV balances the bold clean lines of a classic round dial with a unique modern stainless steel bracelet. Luminous markers and numerals at 12, 6, and 9 allow better visibility. This classic dive watch features a single direction rotating bezel for underwater safety, and a date aperture at the 3 o’clock position. The case is marine-grade brushed stainless steel with polished edges. A hardened sapphire crystal adds durability to the design with a water resistance of 999 feet. The high-polish stainless steel ‘Beads of Rice Valencia’ bracelet closes with a deployant clasp with a safety for security and peace of mind. A Japanese automatic movement ensures decades of reliability. This timepiece is perfect for any wrist, whether you are a serious collector or just looking for a wristwatch that will perform day in and day out. This Nautoscaph IV watch case is cast from 316L marine grade Stainless Steel. Grade 316L is the standard molybdenum bearing grade which means it has high corrosion resistant properties and particularly high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It is also anti-magnetic. We do recommend that if you submerge your watch in saltwater regularly or for long periods of time that you give it a rinse under fresh water after submersion. The domed glass in the Nautoscaph and the Surf n Ski is a hardened mineral crystal that may scratch easier than sapphire crystal. We chose mineral crystal for these watches as it is more resilient and less brittle than sapphire and therefore is less likely to shatter and let water in. Light scratches are easy to remove by polishing. Our crystals are tested for toughness and contain an anti-reflective coating on the inside to aid clear vision.
