Nominal diameter is 1.75 inch, and as long as the diameter of the gas can meets this specification, it can be used. As shown in the picture, there are two kinds of common gas can spout, one with coarse threads and one with fine threads. The upper part of the picture shows the measurement of coarse threads. The lower part of the picture shows the measurement of fine threads. Don't worry, in fact most gasoline container spouts are one of these two sizes. Before buying, please measure the caliber (do not need to be very accurate) to avoid unnecessary trouble. There are usually two types of gas cans, one with its own air hole and the other without. If the gas tank has its own air hole, just add the rear stripe caps, as shown in the upper part of the picture. If the gas tank does not have a air hole, you will need to drill a 5/16" hole and install the vent caps, as shown in the lower part of the picture. In short, you only need to choose one of the rear stripe caps and the vent caps. There are threads at the end of the gas can spout, so you can screw on the stopper caps after use, which has two advantages. Gasoline leaks can be avoided. Stopper caps can be prevented from being lost.
