This item is powered by solar to recharge so it is always working after the battery recharged. The Passive Infrared sensor (PIR) detects motion and triggers the ultrasonic speaker emitting a tone that makes animals feel uncomfortable thus to leave the protected area. Button Instructions -Button "Sensitivity"(Left): You can adjust sensitivity and distance(1-8m) of the motion sensor. By turning the knob clockwise, increase the range of protection. -Button "Frequency"(Right): This is to control frequency. By turning the knob clockwise, the frequency will be increased. -Button "Frequency" position as below: - 0: OFF - 1: 13.5KHZ-19.5KHZ to repel animals such as mice, rats, dogs, foxes, martens etc - 2: 19.5KHZ-24.5KHZ to repel animals such as cats, raccoon, badgers, skunks etc - 3: 24.5KHZ-45.5KHZ to repel animals such as bats, birds, rodents etc - 4: Strong LED flashing lights to scare wild animals - 5: Function together Mode 1-Model 2-Model 3. Battery Issue 1.lf new rechargeable batteries or batteries in the product did not use for a long time (more than 1 month), the batteries power may be fully released. It is suggested to charge the batteries 3-5 times to activate. 2.When rainy or cloudy weather last for almost one week, the repeller may stop working, we suggest that turn it off to Mode 0 and charge by adapter. 3.If the batteries which have been used for a very long time can be charged fully very soon, it means that you need to change the batteries. Kindly Notes: 1.Do not cover up the PIR sensor. 2.The solar animal repeller requires to be fully charged before the first use, which can prolong the service life of batteries. 3.Ultrasonic products will not produce instant effect, will take about 10-15 days to deliver the full deterrent effect.
