Automotive smoke leak detector works on the EVAP system. (Provided with another version that specially designed for EVAP system). Equipped with dual flow meters for accurate data display & Independently controlled Air mode and Smoke mode. EVAP Smoke leak detector For detecting the leakage of pipe systems on cars, motor- cycles, snowmobiles, off-road vehicles, ATVs, light trucks and speedboats. With flowmeter display, suitable for All Autos. Fuel Leak Detector has its own Air Pump without relying on other machines and Pressure Gauge with precise scales. Simply connect the detector with the DC12V battery, it can output thick smoke within 30s after turning on. Fill 20ml baby oil to the detector for the first time. Open the engine cover, and hang the detector in the cover. Disconnect the pipe that needs to be connected with detector. Connect detector with DC12V battery, turn on the power switch, and the detector starts to work. In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points. Please use head lamp if necessary. About Maintenance: With longtime high temperature work, the smoke and oil will oxidize and deteriorate. It will infect the service life of smoke generated part, so please change smoke and oil regularly. Before filling new oil, please pour out the remaining oil in the detector. When the smoke output has water drops, please replace with new oil. Liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK. Please fill new oil with equipped oil bottom. Fast Smoke Output: The smoke leak detector has its own air compressor and thanks for our advanced heating technology, it can generate smoke in seconds by heating up mineral oil or baby oil. How To Tell? No Leaks: When the pressure gauge value remains unchanged, it means no leakage exist in the system. Small Leaks: When the pressure gauge value drops, it indicates a small leak exist in the system. Big Leaks: When the pressure gauge value drops and almost reaches zero, it indicates a large leak exist in the system.
