100% cotton watercolour paper crafted in Europe by fine art paper making experts. Created on a traditional cylinder mould, it offers the highest quality surface for smooth, even washes, preserving lustre and transparency of colour. Rough, coarse, toothed texture offering greater differentiation of surface to work with. Pigment settles into hollows of paper and enhances granulation. Provides greater texture to washes. Pressed between felts at the paper mill giving it a distinctive, rough-textured surface. Subtle texture, midway between Rough and Hot Press, for both fine strokes and granulating colour. Fine surface for even definition with both dry and wet-in-wet techniques. Cold press is a popular choice for professional and beginners. Cold press is made from Rough sheets re-pressed without the felts. Hot pressed smooth surface ideal for fine detailed work. Brush glides along smooth surface that has almost no tooth. Responds to all applications holding the pigment to optimize colour and technique. Great for washes, pen and ink, intaglio printmaking and block printing. Hot press is made by passing sheets through hot metal rollers. 100% cotton paper, traditional mould made for greater strength and durability Acid-free, archival and non-yellowing to preserve your work. Internally and externally sized for optimal water absorbency, pigment dispersion and lasting colour adherence. Gummed blocks are a collection of pre-stretched water colour sheets. All four sides are gummed in place, removing the need to wet and tape sheets down when painting outdoors. Each sheet can be removed carefully using a palette knife.
