Description

Shake the control solution bottle well, about 15 times before every use. Remove the bottle cap and use a tissue to wipe away any solution around the bottle tip before dispensing a drop. *Always read the meter user guide prior to doing a control solution test. Squeeze a small drop of control solution onto a clean nonabsorbent surface. Do not apply control solution to your fingertip or to the test strip directly from the bottle. Immediately touch the tip of the test strip to the drop of control solution. Hold the tip in the drop until the meter beeps. Designed for use with the range of CONTOUR NEXT blood glucose meters, CONTOUR NEXT Control Solution checks the accuracy of your glucose meter and test strips. This aqueous glucose solution contains a known amount of glucose, and by simply adding a drop of the solution to a test strip delivers results to verify test strips and meters are working properly. Your glucose monitoring system is performing correctly if the control solution test result falls within the specific control solution range listed on your test strip vial. It is recommended to use CONTOUR NEXT Control Solution on a regular basis; you should perform a control test when: using your meter for the first time; you open a new bottle or package of test strips; you think your meter may not be working properly; you have repeated, unexpected blood sugar results.
