The Bont Semi-Race is aimed at inline skaters who want the comfort of a trainer with the performance of a speed skate. This is a 125mm 3 wheel skate version. The skate uses Bont's famous one-piece construction and is built around a last that has been modified and improved for over 40 years by Mr Inze Bont. The boot comes with a heat-moldable tongue and incorporates our super mold technology making it extremely heat moldable. The tongue is injection molded heat moldable EVA like the footbed. The boot is a lot stiffer than other skates in the trainer market and the stiffness comes from within, so there is no need for an external brace to give the boot stiffness. Features Base: Carbon composite Outer skin and Liner: Microfiber Air vents: Top of toes and tongue Heat moldable: Fully heat moldable base utilizing epoxy thermoset resin Padding: Soft memory foam Vegan: Yes Package includes: Boots, frames, wheels, bearings, spacers, bearings, mounting bolts and laces Bont was founded in Sydney in 1975 when Inze Bont, a recreational speed skater decided to fiberglass the back of his leather speed skates to gain more support. Bont was the first footwear manufacturer to use exotic material like fiberglass in 1974, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon Fiber in 1989, and the first to use heat moldable resins and thermoplastics. In the 1980's Bont dominated the quad racing scene with the lightest and strongest boots on the market thanks to our unique one-piece manufacturing technique. Bont was the first quad skate company to use lace covers, velcro, and aluminum strengtheners in the boots.
