Use your favorite Granite Cleaner to clean the surface before you apply your sealer. Try the TriNova Granite Cleaner - it's designed to work with our sealer for the ultimate granite care. Spray the sealer onto the surface, buffing with a microfiber cloth. Wait 1-2 minutes and wipe dry. Our Granite Sealer provides a protective layer keeping stains out. After the 1 hour cure time, your granite will be protected! The water test is the simplest way to check if your granite needs to be sealed. Pour a small amount of water, about the size of a quarter, on different sections of your granite. Let the water sit for about 30 minutes and see if the granite absorbed the water into the stone. If the water was absorbed by the granite, you need to reseal your granite. You can tell it was absorbed if your granite darkened. If the water stays on top of your granite like the image to the right, your granite is protected. We still recommend applying the Granite Sealer at least once a month as a preventative measure.
