Kidde Hardwired 120 Volt 10 Year Smoke Alarms protect your family for 10 years with a 'sealed in' Lithium Ion Battery back up. 10 year smoke alarms protect against tampering with a sealed in battery. 10 Year alarms provide an 'End of Life' indicator at end of the product life alerting you to replace your smoke alarm. The Kidde Smoke Detector, Hardwired Smoke Alarm with Lithium Battery Backup & Interconnect, model i12010S, is an AC/DC powered, ionization smoke alarm that operates on a 120V power source. In the event of a power failure, the Kidde fire alarm comes equipped with a 3V sealed, lithium battery backup. Using ionization sensing technology, the wired smoke alarm detects invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. A red LED provides brief alarm chirp once every 60 seconds to indicate a low battery condition. A green LED indicates AC power and will flash every 60 seconds when powered only by battery backup. A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple station arrangement, but cannot exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms. With 18 initiating devices (smoke, heat, CO, etc.), interconnected, it is still possible to interconnect 6 strobe lights and or relay modules. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty.
