The patented design of this 10" tall x 3" wide stake makes installation FAST and EASY. Pound the heavy-duty stake into the ground BEFORE affixing the fixture. The slit enables you to insert wire and affix fixtures after the stake is already in the ground! Unlike smaller stakes that cause tilting due to improper anchoring, our Hammer Stake keeps fixtures secure. This is a low voltage (12V) fixture, the most common option for residential landscape lighting. With little risk of electric shock and wires that can be directly buried in shallow trenches (minimum 6 inches), low voltage landscape lighting is safe and easy enough for most DIY homeowners to install. Representative samples of these fixtures have been evaluated by UL and meet applicable safety standards. Most competitors' landscape lighting products on Amazon are not UL Listed.
