R-Value is a measure of thermal resistance; the higher the R-Value, the more thermally resistant the material or structure is. By selecting an appropriately insulated sleeping pad, you’ll stay warm throughout the night, and wake up prepared for the trail. Equally at home backpacking through the fall or car camping in the spring, the Therm-a-Rest ProLite Plus Ultralight Self-Inflating Backpacking Pad gives added warmth and comfort without sacrificing packability. The thick diagonal-cut foam offers a lightweight pad with a 3.2 R-value for comfort and warmth during three-season adventures (R-value measures the material’s ability to insulate; the higher the R-value, the warmer the sleeping pad). The 1.5-inch thick mattress expands on its own and tops off with a few breaths thanks to the self-inflating design. Available in two styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve, or equipped with the WingLock Valve which is able to inflate a pad three times faster than a standard valve thanks to a larger barrel and optional one-way inflation.
