Water can have many different types of contaminates, including: sediment, silt, lead, etc. These contaminates come in different sizes, which is why water filters are rated by their porosity. The smaller the pore openings, the more contaminates that can be filtered. Rated at 0.5 microns, the EVO X2 features a carbon block filter element that is able to filter and minimize more contaminates in your RV's fresh water supply than standard in-line filters. To use the EVO X2, hook it up outside between the included 4-foot fresh water hose and your existing drinking water hose of your RV. The water undergoes a dual stage filtration process—the first stage acts as a pre-filter extending the life of the second stage and is comprised of a 5-micron sediment filter containing KDF and GAC to remove heavy sediments, chlorine, and bad tastes and odors. The second stage filter contains a .5-micron carbon block cartridge offering protection against lead, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), cysts, giardia and other contaminates. This results in clean, great tasting water every time. The EVO X2 is capable of providing high flow throughout your RV, even allowing uncompromised water flow in your shower.
