The BoatTector 5.5 lb. Anchor Kit is perfect for use with personal watercraft, canoes, kayaks, SUPs or small inflatable boats. Includes folding grapnel anchor, 6.5' galvanized steel anchor chain and 100' anchor line with galvanized steel shackle. Grapnel anchors hold well in coral, rocky, or heavily weeded bottom conditions and are ideal for short term anchoring. The anchor folds for easy storage. Performance meets convenience with the BoatTector folding grapnel anchor, pairing the popular four-fluke grapnel design with the ability to fold in on itself for storage in even the smallest crannies. The flukes lock securely into both the folded and open positions easily with a twist of the central locking device, folding and unfolding in seconds. Grapnel-style anchors are ideally suited for use in coral, rocky, or heavily weeded bottom conditions. The premium twisted nylon anchor line is built strong, with a tough twisted construction and a stainless steel thimble for simple, secure anchor attachment. Nylon has great strength and shock load resistance, handles easily, and resists sunlight better than all other synthetics. This rope has a twisted (or laid) construction that gives it greater strength than braided ropes of the same size. The opposing twists in fibers and rope give it structural integrity, but make it more susceptible to abrasion damage. The BoatTector galvanized steel anchor chain are hot-dip galvanized for both durability and corrosion resistance, and are constructed with oversized links to easily allow shackle attachments.
