Aquaflame's patented technology combines a water fountain with a flameless candle. You can use the candle function with or without the water function and each one has a built in 5 hour timer function. Each candle comes with a remote with off/on functions. Aquaflame candles can run for approximately 480 hours as a flameless candle and 120 as a flameless candle & water fountain simultaneously. The candle can be plugged in (plug included) or run off of 3d alkaline batteries (batteries not included).
