In the early 1940s, a man by the name of Ellis Christian Lenz enlisted in the US Military during World War II. These weapons malfunctions resulted in the loss of American lives and he was determined to do something about it. Resuming life in his home state of Ohio after the war, Captain Lenz went on to become Dr. Lenz, a chemist, author and inventor with a creative passion for the outdoors. Dr. Lenz set to work on an all-in-one formula that would clean, lubricate and protect firearms and other metal tools, without gumming up over time or promoting the buildup of debris. As a Captain in the Army, he knew just how good the product he was formulating needed to be.
