When the telephone base communicates with the handset, ECO mode will be activated automatically. This telephone has a built in answering system, and it also supports Voicemail if you have subscribed the service from your service provider. Different indicators used for two different types of voice messages: those left on the built-in answering system and those left at your telephone service provider’s voicemail. If "XX new messages" display on the handsets and the message window on the telephone base flashes, they are messages recorded on the built-in answering system. If "New voicemail" display on the handsets, your telephone service provider is indicating that it has new voicemail for you.
