The ClimateLineAir heated tubing is specifically designed to work with the ResMed AirSense10 series of CPAP machines and the AirCurve10 series of Bi-Level machines. Evidence suggests that when using a heated CPAP tube that "rain-out" (condensation build up in the tube and mask) is reduced significantly. The heated element within the tube keeps the temperature consistent from the water chamber to the mask allowing for maximum humidification without excessive condensation. The ClimateLineAir should be washed weekly using warm water and a mild detergent, rinsed completely, then allowed to air dry. The heated tube should not be connected to the machine until it is completely dry. It is safe to completely submerge the hose in water as long as it is completely dry before connecting it.
