Use one tablespoon of Nellie’s Laundry Soda for each regular sized load. Wash according to instructions on garments. Always test on garments that may bleed or fade. The important thing to remember is that while the scoop size looks small, it’s strongly concentrated and powerful! Nellie’s Laundry Soda is safe for HE and standard washing machines. If you have an HE washing machine, we recommend adding the Laundry Soda directly in the drum with your clothes. The newer machines and HE machines do not have enough water pressure to fully clean out the dispensers of Nellie’s Laundry Soda. Powder is better! Traditional liquid detergents are made up largely of water. At Nellie’s, we don’t think selling and moving water around the planet is a very good idea. The fact is, more cleaning power can be packed into a smaller space using powder. Nellie’s is more concentrated than other detergents so only one tablespoon is needed for a regular load.
