We suggest checking that the brass ring has not been lost. If the brass ring is missing, the tool will not tighten onto the wand. The floor tool should stay attached to the wand when attached correctly. To attach the floor tool, be sure that the brass ring is intact with the threaded nut on the end of the wand, then align the brass ring with the groove on the floor tool to ensure a secure fit. You may purchase replacement parts such as the plastic coupling or the brass ring separately on Amazon, depending on the tool and wand you are using. Part numbers are: 100100 for the brass ring and 100099 for the plastic coupling.
