Allows wireless Z-Wave remote on/off and dimmer control of permanently-installed lights. The GoControl Wall Mount Dimmer Switch (Z-Wave) lets you remotely dim and turn lights on and off using your Z-Wave controller/hub or its remote app. Use your Z-Wave controller (sold separately) to operate this smart dimmer switch to enjoy versatile and energy-saving lighting control anywhere. Because the GoControl Wall Mount Dimmer Switch (Z-Wave) is controlled via your Z-Wave network, you can install it anywhere that power is available. The switch has a capacity of up to 500 watts for permanently installed fluorescent, halogen, and LED lighting. It is not to be used for control of receptacles. It requires a neutral connection for installation. This dimmer has a replaceable trim ring, so you can change its color with the Trim Ring Kit in black, brown, and almond (all sold separately). For this dimmer to work with your network, it must be within approximately 130 feet (via line of sight) from your Z-Wave Controller or the closest Z-Wave Repeater. However, this dimmer also works as a repeater, extending your network up to an additional 130 feet via line of sight to reach other elements of your Z-Wave network that would otherwise be out of range of the hub or controller. Like all Z-Wave-certified products, the GoControl Wall Mount Dimmer Switch (Z-Wave) is compatible with other Z-Wave devices, including those made by other manufacturers. The dimmer switch sports a small blue LED indicator lamp that shines when the switch is on, however it can be easily programmed to illuminate when the switch is off if desired, to help locate the switch in the dark.
