Filtration begins with water traveling through a porous shell with openings no greater than 5 microns in diameter. Filtered water then passes through a bed of KDF and GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon) for further filtration and bacteria control. Contains premium carbon with a high micro porosity level for absorbing harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Designed as a premium replacement cartridge for Camco's Evo water filter housing.Not designed for fish tanks or ponds. No testing has been done for this purpose The EVO Premium Water Filter Cartridge is a replacement filter for Camco 40631 EVO Premium Water Filter. It fits into the EVO Premium Water Filter housing as well as many other brands. Use this product at campsites to keep sediment out of your RV water tank and to improve the taste and smell of your drinking water for a whole season. Use it in the garden for reduced-chlorine watering and when washing your car to reduce mineral deposit spots. Cleaner water is also great for filling up your pool or hot tub, for home brewing, and for boating. This filter system is not designed for use with pond, aquariums and marine life.
