Clark wants to have the perfect Christmas, but nothing is going to plan. He wants the perfect tree, but when he brings it home, it breaks the window and the sap gets everywhere. The house is decked out with Christmas lights, but he can’t get them to light up. The Christmas turkey looks delicious from the outside, but they find out it's just a little dry… Here's the heart! Nevertheless, he keeps a positive attitude in the face of adversity. Clark's efforts do not go unnoticed by his wife, Ellen. She is supportive of his efforts even though she may not be quite as optimistic as her husband. They both have a dry sense of humor that often goes unnoticed, especially to Eddie. Clark once told Eddie that his heart was bigger than his brain, to which Eddie agreed. "Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?" - Clark "I’m sorry. This is our family’s first kidnapping" - Ellen After inviting himself to stay at the Griswold house, Eddie's carefree nature clashes with Clark's goal of the prefect Christmas. He breaks social norms and oversteps boundaries, but he's got a good heart. He has been out of work for 7 years (he's holding out for a manager position) which takes its toll on his family during the holiday season. Eddie's family is currently living out of his RV, which he parks in front of the Griswold house. Eddie uses this opportunity to empty his sewage under the house, which soon begins to glow with radioactivity. Eddie does get Clark a last-minute gift by kidnapping his boss, Frank Shirley, after the infamous jelly of the month club membership is delivered. "Save the neck for me, Clark!" - Eddie (after seeing the ruined Christmas turkey) These two siblings are the children of Clark and Ellen Griswold. They are more grounded than their father, but often get involved in his antics. Like the good son he is, Rusty helps his father hang the Christmas lights outside the house. Clark says "Unravel these. We need to check every bulb. Oop, little knot here" as he hands Rusty the world's largest knot, "you can work on that." Audrey is uninterested in her father's idea of a perfect family Christmas. As the Griswold house begins to fill with family members, she expresses her concerns about sleeping arrangements. "Would it be indecent to ask the grandparents to stay at a hotel?" - Audrey "Mom? This box is meowing." - Rusty Aunt Bethany is the oldest of the Griswolds and appears to be in constant state of confusion. When asked to say grace at family dinner, Bethany responds "Grace? She passed away 30 years ago!" She later goes on to say grace in her own way by leading the family in prayer, saying "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for wh-" The family later joins her in singing the National Anthem after a Santa decoration explodes into the sky due to a radioactive sewage-related accident. However, she was the first one to notice the angry wild squirrel in the house, so she has her moments of alertness. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
