The IN-FORCER mechanically draws outside air indoors on demand to provide fresh air for safe and efficient operation of fuel burning equipment. The inception of Tjernlund Products dates back to 1938 and since then, the company has evolved into one of the biggest providers of gas fired furnaces and custom packaged roof top heating & cooling equipment. The portfolio is rich with many landmark products. During the mid-50s, Auto Draft Inducers were developed to eliminate draft problems associated with short stacks on roof top units. Other people within the heating industry soon saw the advantages of Tjernlund draft inducers and wholesale distribution of the Auto Draft Inducers began in 1957. Tjernlund Products was established as a separate company in 1973. The original manufacturing facility had 12 employees but today, the facility has expanded to 75,000 ft2 and Tjernlund has grown to over 50 employees. The engineering and manufacturing departments feature the latest technology in 3D CAD design and CNC turret presses and brakes. Tjernlund Products is still largely, family owned and managed.
