Following from Deluxe Pomade and Featherweight, Matte Clay was a very natural fit to the Uppercut Deluxe family – once again breaking rules and norms across conventional hair products. Begin by drying the hair forward with an Uppercut Deluxe Quiff Roller. To add volume in the Quiff, direct the hair dryer backwards and use the Quiff Roller to direct the hair into shape. Scoop a small amount of Matte Clay. To soften the clay, place the scooped clay into your hand and gently blow with a hairdryer on low heat. Spread the Matte Clay across your fingers and palms. Spread the product throughout your hair, messing as you work through. Avoid touching your scalp with the product. Use your fingertips to define texture in your hair, pinching to further piece out your hair. Apply product to your fringe to control the quiff, using your fingers to rake through for added texture.
