Description

See more product details Offering 3 minutes of uninterrupted hands-free flushing, the Fendall Flash Flood Secondary Emergency Eye Wash Station employs a 1-Gallon (3.8 L) cartridge of buffered, pH-balanced saline eye wash. Two nozzles direct the eye flush upward at both eyes simultaneously, maintaining a constant flow rate and stream height. The saline eye wash is superior to tap water, which may contain harmful bacteria or contaminants. Since no plumbing is required, this small, lightweight, portable eye wash station can be located in almost any challenging workspace that is unsuitable for a primary station. This allows your workplace to meet ANSI regulations which require an emergency eye wash station to be accessible within a 10-second walk of any hazard. Placement is easy as the unit can be mounted to a wall. The Fendall Flash Flood unit is also ideal for confined work areas that are exempt from ANSI requirements. Usage is easy, with highly visible instructions on how to use an eye wash station present on the front of the unit. This avoids having to search for a manual when eye irrigation time is crucial. The nozzle strap is easily removed for hands-free eye flushing, leaving hands available to hold eyelids open. Maintenance is also simple as the one-gallon sealed cartridges are easy to store and offer quick changes without mixing or measuring. And unlike traditional plumbed units which require weekly maintenance, the Fendall Flash Flood Eye Wash Station requires a simple six-month maintenance cycle. Unopened cartridges have a shelf life of up to 24 months from the date of manufacture. DOES NOT MEET the current ANSI Z358.1 15-minute flushing requirement.
