Fisher’s Choice canned baits go through a retortion, or sterilization process that technically ‘cooks’ the bait without cooking it; this results in a texture that remains soft but slightly more firm than live bait. This allows for enhanced durability when fishing, more casts, and, in the case of crickets, more whole crickets and less broken off cricket legs.Conveniently packaged, you can keep them on the shelf for up to 2 years, ready to use whenever the fish are biting. The baits are good for up to two weeks after opening. Use these baits anytime and with any type of fish for which live bait would be considered. All the baits are available in two sizes - Large and Small. The "Small" size is half the size and number of baits than the "Large" size. It's also half the price! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
