Before applying, remember to do a strand test so that you may preview your results. 1.Get Ready & Mix: -Be sure your hair is dry and detangled. -Put on gloves. Drape towel over shoulders to protect clothing. -Pour all of the Developer (1) into Haircolor Remover Powder Bottle (2) -Flip open tip. Place your gloved finger over open tip, point away from your face and shake thoroughly until mixture is totally blended. Caution: Be sure to flip spout to open position for use. Do not allow to stand unopened after mixing as container may burst. 2. Apply Haircolor Remover: - With gloves on, apply the Haircolor Remover mixture to 1 inch sections of the hair, starting with the darkest areas, usually the mid-lengths and ends. Continue to apply Haircolor Remover mixture until all hair colored is covered. -Apply to colored root area last. -Avoid touching the scalp and do not apply to new hair growth. Do not run into the scalp. -Avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with lukewarm water. Colorist Tip: To remove an excess deposit of ashy tone, apply only to the area that has too much deposit. The action usually can be as quick as 1-5 minutes or until unwanted tone is removed. Re-coloring may not be necessary. 3.Time-It: -The time needed for Haircolor Remover to work depends upon the amount of color absorbed by previous haircolor applications. The time suggested below, therefore, are only an approximation. Using the time from the strand test as a guide, carefully monitor the lightening process until you reach the color target. Care should be taken to watch the development in order to stop if the product develops faster than the preview test strand indicated or to allow more time if needed. Do not exceed 60 minutes. Dark shades of Heavily Colored Hair: 20-60 minutes Medium Shades: 20-50 minutes Light Shades: 5-20 minutes 4.Rinse-Out, Shampoo & Dry: -Keeping gloves on, rinse hair thoroughly with lukewarm water until water runs clear. -Shampoo hair very gently. Do not rub scalp. Dry thoroughly -Hair is now ready to be re-colored to the new shade of your choice. Store between 50 F and 80 F.
