Collars are a convenient, mess-free form of flea & tick protection. Collars are easy to put on and readjust if necessary. They can also be worn simultaneously with your dog's other collar for up to 7 months. Collars contain active ingredients that are stored in the collar and are slowly released over your dog's full body. The active ingredients kill and repel fleas and ticks, but can also prevent flea eggs from hatching. Hartz has developed a flea & tick collar that provides protection for your pet. After stretching to activate, place the collar around the dog's neck and buckle in place. Ensure that two fingers fit comfortably between the collar and your dog's skin. Adjust the buckle if necessary. Leave 2 or 3 inches of collar after the buckle for extra adjustment, then cut off and dispose of the extra length. For continuous flea and tick protection from head to tail, replace the collar every 7 months. Directions: Remove collar from package, unroll and stretch to activate insecticide generator. Do not use on puppies under 6 weeks of age. Do not unroll collar until ready to use. Place the collar around the dog’s neck, adjust for proper fit and buckle in place. The collar must be worn loosely to allow for growth of the dog and to permit the collar to move about the neck. Generally, a properly fitted collar is one that, when fastened, will snugly slide over the dog’s head.
