These tablets are effective in eliminating viruses, bacteria, giardia, and cryptosporidium. Simply place a tablet into a liter of water and wait four hours for the active ingredients to treat your water, as well as improve the taste and odor. This product meets epa standards for microbiological water purifiers. For control of Bacteria, Viruses and Cysts: Use Micropur MP1 Water Purifier Tablets to kill bacteria, viruses and cysts (Cyptosporidium parvum and Giardia muris) in contaminated water.To Use: Remove the tablet from its foil packaging with knife or scissors and quickly insert into 1 quart (1 liter) of contaminated water. Allow to react for 4 hours in an opaque container or in the dark to generate a use solution of 4 ppm chlorine dioxide. The treated water is now ready for drinking.
