The Kidde Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector, Hardwired Interconnect Combination Smoke and CO Alarm with Battery Backup and Voice Alert, model KN-COPE-IC, is an AC-wired, photoelectric alarm operates on a 120VAC power source with a 9V battery backup. Using photoelectric sensor technology, the wired smoke alarm detects smoke and fire. This fire alarm also includes the world's most accurate CO sensing technology based on claims by major manufacturers. A red LED will flash in unison with the voice alarm that warns of fire, carbon monoxide, and low battery. The Smart Hush feature silences the fire alarm for approximately 8 minutes. The green LED on the alarm will flash every 2 seconds when Smart Hush is activated and canceled. A maximum of 24 Kidde devices can be interconnected in a multiple station arrangement, but cannot exceed the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) limit of 18 initiation devices, of which 12 can be smoke alarms.
